The End Time

OK first off. I'd like to say I haven't called anyone a name...nor will I. Also, i NEVER said what ut1 believes is wrong....he may be right, i may be wrong...in the end, it really doesn;t matter as long as you believe in God.(another subject i'd really like to discuss when im done with this perticular one). I have never started trouble on this board so please dont compare me to someone who does...I apparantly didnt catch that but i will go back and read.

Now back to the discussion at hand...

I never denied once that people would be saved during tribulation...i merely said that there would be NO RAPTURE beforehand. If there was a rapture beforehand, then the Holy Spirit would be withdrawn from the Earth, and taking the very thing that pricks your heart to believe in the Lord. Hence, no way to be saved. I do believe people will be saved during tribulation, because I dont believe in the rapture.
So, I ask again, If the Holy Spirit has been withdrawn from the Earth....how would anyone be saved?

Agreed, as no one will be saved after the Tribulation. I've never argued that there would be.

If there is no Rapture, Revelation is wasted and ineffective as scripture.

Maybe the stones will proclaim Him:

37 And as he was now drawing nigh, even at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works which they had seen; 38 saying, Blessed is the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest. 39 And some of the Pharisees from the multitude said unto him, Teacher, rebuke thy disciples. 40 And he answered and said, I tell you that, if these shall hold their peace, the stones will cry out.
Luke 19:37-40 (ASV)

Again, God said there would be a great multitude saved, so that's good enough for me. Don't limit the Holy Spirit to the bodies of believers, as God's Spirit is everywhere (even in Hell!!)

No, and I'll never proclaim that they are, just as not all professing Christians are what they say they are. But there are enough of them out there that are anointed that I would be careful who I claimed was not, since God proclaimed this:
Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.

No you didnt argue that...you argued that the parable was not tribulation at all, but a seperating of saved from lost BEFORE tribulation. I read the parable as it reads.."let them grow together until the harvest...and FIRST bind the tares". Where in there does it allow for a "rapture". Absolutely nowhere.

Heres something else to ponder...

Ok, that to me says, If i was a Christian, and taught my family to be Christians...then when the Lord comes back...he will NOT BREAK UP MY HOUSE. But if I am not a christian, then hes gonna take me out, bind me up, send me on my way, and BREAK UP MY HOUSE. Because He is coming back to bind up the damned FIRST.


Like I said before, I'm not trying to change what you believe. It really doesnt matter either way as long as you believe in the Lord, you will be shown the right path. I'm simply trying to state what I believe about the path of the end times. If im wrong, so be it, I'll get a free ticket out of the mess that is gonna happen. If I'm right, I'll be prepared to not fall for the antichrist when he proclaims to be Jesus returned.

Jesus shall return to the earth to gather His Bride, the Church, but He will not set foot on earth at that time. "17 then we that are alive, that are left, shall together with them be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
1 Thess 4:17 (ASV). That is His first coming, and that is what He's talking about in the parables you have mentioned, His first coming. After the Tribulation, He will return to the earth physically
As you say, what is most important is that we believe that He is Who He proclaims to be, the Messiah, the Son of the Living God, Savior of the world. It is not enough to just believe that, as He commanded us in Matthew to be His evangelists, to spread His Word to the world, and that certainly includes His warning to be ready. That is essentially what this thread started out as, a reminder to all that He is coming...maybe not tonight, or tomorrow, but He is certainly coming.

Well, ut1, I want to thank you for the discussion on this topic. It's been interesting, and I think I will stop on this one now, and agree to disagree. As I said before, I wasnt trying to change anyone's belief, I just enjoy discussing certain topics especially the ones like this, that I have a different read on because it gives me things to think about.

Im sure I'll have a new topic soon if you are up for another go around, lol. Theres alot of things I would like to pick your brain on, because its obvious you are a well read in the Bible.

Well read, well studied, but far from scratching the surface of the Truths God has for me in His Word each day. I just know what I believe, and am more than willing to share why I believe as I do. My background in the Word is diverse, in that I have attended many different denominational churches (even Catholic), and heard the Word preached anywhere from Pentacostal to Primitive Baptist doctrines. My beliefs are my own, and probably line up more with the "Baptist Faith and Message" than anything else. It's been a pleasure discussing with you, and I am SO relieved that you weren't Pac-man! Just enjoy the discussion and if someone takes it too far...we'll all know, and it'll be taken care of. Threads like this (sans the Pac-Man deal) are what this Religion forum was made for anyways.
